Marry Me Chicken Wings

These chicken wings are so good, they get the title of “Marry Me Chicken Wings“! So, be careful who you make them for 🙃. If you’re ready to elevate your wing game with a mouthwatering dish, look no further! Today, I’m sharing my two best tips for creating irresistibly crispy chicken wings that will have everyone asking for your recipe.

The Perfect Chicken Wing

Crispiness is Key!

The secret to achieving that perfect crunch on your chicken wings lies in a simple ingredient: cornstarch. By adding cornstarch to your seasonings, you create a light coating that crisps up beautifully in the oven. This step is crucial for achieving that restaurant-quality texture at home. Trust me, once you try this trick, you’ll never go back to plain old wings again!

Bake to Perfection!

Forget about deep frying – baking your chicken wings is not only healthier but also yields fantastic results. To ensure your wings cook evenly and get that coveted crispy exterior, bake them on a wire rack. Elevating the wings allows hot air to circulate all around, ensuring they cook evenly and become wonderfully crispy on all sides. Plus, this method helps to prevent the wings from becoming soggy by allowing any excess grease to drip away as they cook.

The Sauce

For my Marry Me chicken wings, I like to make a homemade hot honey buffalo sauce that is honestly finger-licking good. This fiery yet sweet concoction adds the perfect kick to your wings, making them an instant crowd-pleaser. With just a few simple ingredients like honey, hot sauce, and butter, you can create a flavor sensation that will have everyone coming back for more. Whether you’re hosting a game day party or simply craving a tasty snack, homemade hot honey buffalo sauce is sure to hit the spot. Try it out and prepare to be amazed by the burst of flavor in every bite!

Cooking Methods

When it comes to cooking chicken wings, there’s a variety of baking methods to choose from, each offering its unique flavor and texture profiles.

  • Oven-baked wings are a classic choice, offering convenience and versatility. By baking wings in the oven, they develop a crispy exterior while remaining tender on the inside.
  • Skillet cooking is another option, perfect for those who enjoy a bit of char and caramelization. The direct heat from the skillet creates a delicious sear, locking in juices and flavor.
  • Air Fryer is a quick and healthy alternative. This method requires little to no oil, resulting in crispy wings with a fraction of the calories.
  • BBQ/Grilling If you’re craving that smoky barbecue flavor, fire up the grill and barbecue your wings to perfection. The combination of charred exterior and juicy meat is unbeatable.
  • Deep-fried wings boast unparalleled crispiness and a satisfying crunch. Whatever method you choose, rest assured that each delivers a mouthwatering wing experience sure to please any palate.
