My grandmother, also known as my Bubbie Ruth was the most incredible cook and she is a huge inspiration to me – especially in the kitchen. I lost my Bubbie Ruth last year, and while it is challenging not having her here, I find so much comfort in making her favorite recipes. Especially during the Jewish holidays, when my Bubbie would cook for our family – I find myself making one of my favorite recipes of hers, which is her oven-baked chicken wings. I put my own spin on them and made Sticky Honey Glazed Chicken Wings! This recipe has become a favorite in my household and is most definitely influenced by my Bubbie Ruth’s recipe. Pair it with my baked apple crumble and you have the perfect Rosh Hashanah meal!

Baking Sheet or Ovenproof Pan: You’ll use a baking sheet or an ovenproof pan to cook the chicken wings in the oven. Line it with unbleached parchment paper for easier cleanup.
Wire Rack (Optional): Placing a wire rack on top of the baking sheet can help elevate the chicken wings, allowing excess fat to drip away and promoting even cooking.
Mixing Bowl: Use a large mixing bowl to marinate the chicken wings in the honey glaze mixture.
Whisk: A whisk is handy for thoroughly mixing the ingredients of the honey glaze, ensuring a smooth and even coating for the wings.
Tongs or Spatula: You’ll need tongs or a spatula to flip and move the chicken wings while cooking to ensure they cook evenly.
Basting Brush (Optional): If you want to apply an extra layer of the honey glaze during cooking for a more intense flavor, a basting brush can be useful.
Knife and Cutting Board: Use a knife and cutting board to prepare any garnishes, such as chopped parsley or pomegranates, to sprinkle over the finished wings.

Preheat oven to 400F degrees. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside. Add chicken wings to a large mixing bowl. Add in cornstarch olive oil, salt & pepper and seasonings. Mix together until chicken wings are evenly coated. Add a large wire rack on top of each baking sheet and spray wire rack with cooking spray. Pulling them out halfway and flipping.
Once chicken wings have been flipped, Add 1 tbsp of honey over top of the wings and add back to the oven for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, combine all sauce ingredients together in a small mixing bowl.
