My Fiancé Cooks
Who’s ready for the lasagna recipe that took the internet by storm, not just once, but twice! It’s my fiancé’s internet-famous recipe!
Fun fact- my fiancé is an unbelievable cook and is behind some of my most viral recipes! We are both home-taught cooks who love food, and we each have a different approach in the kitchen. I am more of a ‘few ingredient’ easy and simple recipe type gals, where my fiancé’s recipes are more complex yet traditional! We balance out one another in the kitchen, as I bring bold flavors and different ingredients, and he brings more expertise.
Why am I telling you all of this? (haha) I think it’s crucial for you all to understand how food & cooking play such an essential role in my life and relationships! Also, you best believe that we will have some original epic recipes for our wedding. More wedding content to come!
To Use Oven Ready Lasagna Noodles or Not?
Anyways, back to the lasagna, which is why you’re all here! This lasagna recipe made by my fiancé went crazy viral on TikTok & Instagram last year (I’m talking millions of views)! While most comments were positive- many followers weighed in on the oven-ready lasagna sheets vs. regular lasagna noodles.
Now, I am all about convenience and making recipes simple & easy, which is why we opted for the oven-ready option, which means that we remove the lasagna sheets directly from the box and don’t have to boil them before assembling the lasagna. However, as I always preach- do what is best for YOU! If you want to cook your lasagna noodles beforehand, you can! The option is yours.

Saucy Meat Lasagna
I believe that there are two types of lasagna lovers. The ‘saucier’ one (which I am) or more of the ‘crispy’ lasagna (which my fiancé is) and this recipe is a beautiful balance of both! I love using meat sauce in our lasagna; however, you can accompany it with bechamel sauce on top or use a classic tomato sauce! If you’re looking to make the meat sauce vegetarian, you can also use cauliflower crumbles or a vegan substitute.

Ingredients for Lasagna
This lasagna serves 6 people! For this lasagna recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:
Lasagna
- 1 package oven-ready lasagna noodle
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 container ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup Italian parsley, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 package shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 1 cup Grana Padano, freshly grated
Meat Sauce
- 1 package lean ground beef
- Splash of dry red wine
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 can tomato sauce (or crushed tomatoes)
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- Salt + pepper
Some important notes about the ingredients; this is a 4-cheese lasagna recipe. As you know, I am cheese-obsessed, so we opted for ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, and Grana Padano. I believe it is best to grate the Parmesan and Grana Padano freshly. While it may take a bit extra time- the freshness makes it better!
