Homemade Bagel Recipe
easy & delicious bagel recipe made with just a few ingredients!
1. Preheat oven to 400F degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk together. Add in greek yogurt and use a plastic spatula to mix together. Once the dough starts to combine, roll into a ball. 3. Add 1-2 tbsp of flour on surface. Knead dough and cut into 4 equal quarters. Roll each quarter into a ball and roll around in flour. Shape dough into bagel form. Use your finger to create a hole in the middle. Place on baking sheet. 4. Brush each bagel with egg wash and add 1 tbsp of everything but the bagel seasoning to each bagel. Feel free to add as much seasoning as you like. 5. Bake for 20 minutes or until bagels are golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
Just made your bagels ans they are fantastic! Didn’t have plain Greek yogurt on hand so I substituted lite sour cream. We also made some with rosemary, Asiago and cheddar. We used boursin cheese spread. Now we are dreaming up other combinations thank you!
