Crunchy Dill-Topped Chicken Wings

Crispy, juicy chicken wings tossed with tangy dill pickle flavor and topped with a crunchy dill pickle topping for the ultimate snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

For the Brining

  • 3.5-4 lbs chicken wings about 32–40 wings
  • 2 cups of pickle juice
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika

For the Wings

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For the Dill Pickle Crunch Topping

  • 3 dill pickles diced
  • 1/2 small red onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Splash red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For the Garnish

  • 1 handful fresh dill chopped
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Wings

  • Pat the chicken wings dry and season them with your favorite wing seasoning or sauce. Preheat your oven or air fryer and cook the wings until they are crispy and cooked through.

Make the Topping

  • Chop the dill pickles finely and combine them with breadcrumbs or crushed crackers for extra crunch. Add a little fresh dill if desired.

Assemble

  • Once the wings are cooked, toss or drizzle them with the wing sauce if using. Sprinkle the crunchy dill pickle topping over the wings evenly.

Serve

  • Arrange the wings on a platter and garnish with extra fresh dill if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy the tangy, crunchy, flavorful bites!
