Healthy Banana Chocolate Chip Donuts

Easy, healthy and delicious donut recipe!
Course Dessert, Snack
Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (you can also use paleo or almond flour)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (or monk fruit / agave drops)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 2 1/2 tbsp dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp egg whites

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Spray a donut / bagel pan with cooking spray and set aside. ⁣
    2. In a medium size bowl, mix together the dry ingredients- flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder. In a separate bowl mash the ripe banana with a fork. ⁣
    3. Stir in the mashed banana with the dry ingredients and whisk together. Add in the wet ingredients- egg whites, vanilla, milk and mix together. Add in chocolate chips and stir. ⁣
    4. Spray a spoon with cooking spray (this way the mixture doesn’t stick to the spoon) and scoop the mixture into the donut moulds (around 2 tsp / donut).
Repeat until all mixture is used and sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top. ⁣5. Bake for 15 minutes until donuts. Let cool completely before serving. ⁣6. Enjoy! Xx ⁣
