Chicago may be known for their Deep Dish Pizza, but their burger game is coming in HOT! Keep reading the Ultimate Burger Guide for the next time you head to the Windy City!

BRGRBELLY

Brgrbelly’s is located in Portage Park (Northwest Chicago). With 10 different
specialty burgers on their menu, they truly have something for every palate. They
grind the meat for their burgers in house and use a combination of ground chuck
and smoked pork belly, creating a juicy, flavorful burger! From the homemade buns,
house-made Sriracha pickles, and hand cut fries they really go the distance and have
recognized that the small details really do make a big difference. Some of my
favorite burgers included the “Easy Rider” (made with bourbon bbq, cheddar
cheese, bacon, and Sriracha pickles) and the “House of the Rising Sun” (made with a
fried egg, smoked bacon, Sriracha pickles, and homemade Bloody Mary sauce). In
addition to burgers, they also serve a variety of signature fries and adult, boozy
milkshakes! All burgers are also served with a homemade butter cookie!

M Burger

M Burger has six locations in the Chicago area. The original location is at 161 E
Huron St, right off of Michigan Ave. With a wide variety of burgers on their menu,
you’re sure to find a burger that you’ll enjoy. M Burger is proud to use only local,
Midwest products, and cook each order fresh! Trying to cut carbs or eat gluten free?
No problem.. ALL burgers and sandwiches are also available “salad style”, wrapped
in lettuce, rather than on a bun! In addition to their standard menu, M Burger also
has a secret menu that you can only view on their website! Some of my favorite
options from the secret menu included the “Roman Style” (switch out the buns with
two grilled cheese’s) and the “Dr. Betty” (made with lettuce, pickles, onions, tomato,
avocado, pepper jack cheese and sauce). In addition to burgers, they also serve fries,
sandwiches, and a variety of shakes and other ice cream treats.

25 Degrees

25 Degrees in located in the River North neighborhood of Chicago. With 6 different
specialty burgers (plus the option to build your own), and an array of toppings from
jalapeño bacon, fried eggs, and even roasted red peppers, they certainly have
something for everyone to enjoy. I tried their take on a classic, or as they call it the
Number Six, which is piled high with two, 4 oz. beef patties, American cheese,
pickles, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomatoes, mustard, and thousand island
dressing. This burger was beyond amazing.. it was huge.. But I was somehow left
wanting more. The second one I tried was their Number One Burger. This one was
made up of a beef patty, blue AND park fontina cheese, applewood smoked bacon,
caramelized onions, arugula, and Thousand Island dressing. In addition to burgers,
25 Degrees is also serving up a variety of out of the ordinary appetizers like deviled
eggs with bacon bits and a parmesan crisp, sandwiches, fries, and boozy shakes. I
highly recommend the PB&J! You can thank me later.

Small Cheval

Located in Wicker Park, Small Cheval is a burger joint opened by the restaurant Au
Cheval. The only thing included on their menu is burgers, fries, and milkshakes.
They do one thing and they do it right. It astonishing that they can pack so much
amazing flavor into this seemingly standard burger. I highly recommend ordering
your burger “house style” which includes onions, pickles, and this amazing sauce. If
you’re looking for a quick spot for lunch, they also have a great patio and serve a
pretty large assortment of alcohol.

Little Bad Wolf

Little Bad Wolf is located in the northern Chicago neighborhood of Andersonville.
Although they only have three variations of burgers on their menu, they’ve
mastered the art of creating the perfect burger. I tried the “Bad Burger” that was
made with two patties, American cheese, house-made pickles, and mayo. Upon first
glance it looked like your typical, classic double cheeseburger, but once I bit into I
knew I was wrong. This was one of the juiciest and most flavorful burgers I have had
in my life! The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The second burger I tried
was the “Wolf Burger”. This monster was loaded with THREE burger patties, bacon,
American cheese, fried onion straws, house-made pickles, mayo, and a fried egg.
Everything about this burger was over the top, especially the way it tasted. I also
recommend you get a side of their amazing mac and cheese with your burgers. You
won’t be disappointed. Little Bad wolf is doing comfort food right.
