Getting Ready for Halloween with siggi’s Yogurt

Can you believe that Halloween is just around the corner? Seriously, sometimes I think to myself, “Where did the time fly by?” Halloween is one of my favourite holidays to celebrate and can you guess why? Of course, it’s because of all of the delicious Halloween-themed treats and candy I get to indulge in all month! However, if you’ve been following me over the last few months on Instagram, you would have seen that I have been showcasing my health & fitness journey that I have been on! Since Halloween can tend to be a bit of a set back, I decided that I am going to healthily indulge this upcoming Halloween with healthy homemade recipes like my Pumpkin Spice siggi’s Yogurt Parfait! 

One of my most spooktacular recipes that I’ll be making for Halloween is my Pumpkin Spice siggi’s Yogurt Parfait! I personally love siggi’s yogurt, as it is made with 100% natural ingredients and is high in protein with not a lot of sugar! siggi’s Icelandic yogurt is based on Scandinavian dairy traditions that date back to over 1,000 years! siggi’s products do not contain any preservatives, thickeners, artificial sweeteners, flavours or colours! Now, I can happily indulge in my Halloween recipes and not feel bad about it!

What I love most about using siggi’s yogurt in my healthy Halloween recipes is that it is extremely high in protein; leaving me satisfied to jump start my busy day! Actually, siggi’s yogurt contains 2-3 times the protein count of standard yogurt, due to the process of how the skyr is made. The process is very interesting, as they start off by making a base that is kind of like regular yogurt. The watery whey gets strained, which allows for 75% of the water to be taken out. This means that to make one cup of skyr they require about 4 times the amount of milk required to make a regular cup of yogurt! As a result of this process, siggi’s has an extremely high protein count! Interesting, eh?

Pumpkin Spice siggi’s Yogurt Parfait Recipe


·       2 cups of 0% Vanilla siggi’s yogurt

·       2 cups of pure pumpkin puree

·       2 tbsp. of pure maple syrup

·       1/2 pear chopped into small cubes

·       1 tsp. of cinnamon

·       1 cup of granola


1. Using a mason jar or small jar, add ¼ cup of siggi’s yogurt to the bottom of the jar

2. Layer ¼ cup granola over the siggi’s yogurt in the jar

3. Add ¼ cup of pumpkin puree on top of the granola

4. Continue layering with siggi’s yogurt, granola and pumpkin puree

5. Finish by topping 1 tbsp. of granola, maple syrup, cinnamon and chopped pears

6. Enjoy!
